Since this process basically results in round-shaped glass, creating square shapes is said to be very difficult.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAgainst this conventional wisdom, Kenji Matsuura, a glass artisan at Sghr Sugahara, a glass manufacturer in Kujukuri, Chiba Prefecture, took on the unprecedented challenge of \"absolutely wanting to create square glass!\"\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStarting with the creation of a cube-shaped mold, he underwent approximately three years of trial and error, adjusting the apex, mouth, and thickness of each part.
