4. How We Use Personal Information

We use the personal information described above for the following purposes:

• Market research: to evaluate interest in EDA VASE in the U.S. market and to inform product development and launch decisions.

• Communications: to send pre-launch and post-launch communications about EDA VASE to visitors who have registered their email address. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

• Site operation and improvement: to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Site.

• Advertising and measurement: to measure the effectiveness of our promotion and to support advertising measurement and audience building through Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel — in each case subject to your cookie choices and your right to opt out of sale/sharing (see Sections 7.2 and 8).

• Legal compliance: to comply with applicable laws and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We do not use personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not process personal information in ways that are incompatible with the purposes above without notifying you.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use a consent management platform provided by Pandectes to manage cookies on the Site. When you first visit the Site, a cookie banner allows you to accept or decline non-essential cookies. Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel operate only where you have enabled the applicable non-essential cookies through the banner and have not exercised an opt-out of sale or sharing, including through Global Privacy Control (see below).

You can change or withdraw your cookie choices at any time through the cookie preferences link on the Site. Declining or withdrawing consent does not affect your ability to browse the Site or answer the survey.

• Strictly necessary cookies (Shopify platform cookies, consent-record cookies): required for the Site to function and to remember your consent choices.

• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4): help us understand how visitors use the Site. For purposes of the California disclosures in this Policy, data transmitted to Google through Google Analytics 4 is treated as sold and/or shared (see Section 7.2).

• Advertising cookies (Meta Pixel): support advertising measurement and audience building. Data transmitted through the Meta Pixel is treated as sold and/or shared (see Section 7.2).

Global Privacy Control (GPC): The Site recognizes GPC signals. If your browser or extension transmits a GPC signal, we will treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for that browser. If you opt out through GPC or the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link, the tags that sell or share personal information will stop transmitting for that browser, even if you previously accepted cookies.

6. How Long We Keep Personal Information

We retain each category of personal information for the period stated in the table in Section 3. In general:

• Registered email addresses: while your registration is active and up to 3 years after your last interaction with us. After you unsubscribe or request deletion, we may retain a minimal suppression record so that we can continue to honor your opt-out.

• Analytics and online identifiers: retained in Google Analytics 4 for 14 months under our configured settings. We do not maintain a separate copy of Meta Pixel data.

• Survey responses: retained for 2 years from collection, after which they are deleted or deidentified.

• Consent records (Pandectes): retained for 3 years as evidence of your cookie choices.

We may retain information for a longer period where required by law or to resolve disputes.

7. How We Disclose Personal Information

7.1 Service providers and other recipients

We disclose personal information to the following providers:

• Shopify — our e-commerce and website hosting platform, operated by Shopify Inc. (Canada) and its affiliates. Hosts the Site and stores registered email addresses (service provider).

• Klaviyo, Inc. (U.S.) — email marketing platform used to send communications to registered email addresses (service provider).

• Google LLC (U.S.) — Google Forms processes survey responses on our behalf as a service provider. Google Analytics is treated as a third-party recipient for purposes of the California sale/sharing disclosures in Section 7.2.

• Meta Platforms, Inc. (U.S.) — receives data through the Meta Pixel and is treated as a third-party recipient for purposes of the California sale/sharing disclosures in Section 7.2.

• Pandectes — consent management platform that records and stores your cookie choices (service provider).

7.2 “Sale” and “sharing” of personal information

We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. However, for purposes of this Policy, transfers of personal information through Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel are treated as a “sale” and/or “sharing” under the CCPA. These technologies operate only where you have enabled the applicable non-essential cookies and have not exercised an opt-out of sale or sharing, including through Global Privacy Control.

As of the effective date of this Policy, we had not sold or shared personal information in the preceding 12 months, as the Site had not yet launched. Where the technologies described in this Section operate, the categories of personal information that may be sold and/or shared are: identifiers (cookie IDs, IP address), internet or other electronic network activity information, and approximate geolocation. The categories of third parties receiving them are Google (Google Analytics 4) and Meta (Meta Pixel).

You can opt out at any time via the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the Site footer (which opens our cookie preference center) or by using a Global Privacy Control-enabled browser; opting out stops these transmissions for that browser even if you previously accepted cookies. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age, and we have no actual knowledge of doing so.

7.3 Other disclosures

We may also disclose personal information: to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Trinus, our visitors, or others; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law and any required notice regarding changes in how the information will be handled.

8. Your Privacy Choices

• Opt out of sale/sharing: use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the Site footer, or enable Global Privacy Control in your browser. No account or identity verification is required.

• Cookie preferences: change or withdraw cookie consent at any time via the cookie preferences link.

• Email: unsubscribe via the link in any marketing email, or email us at contact@sikito.com.

• Rights requests: California residents may exercise the rights described in Section 9; residents of other states, see Section 10.

9. California Privacy Rights

This section applies to California residents and supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy. Even if the CCPA does not apply to Trinus, we voluntarily offer the rights described below as a matter of policy.

9.1 Your rights

• Right to know / access: request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, purposes, and the categories of third parties to whom it was disclosed, sold, or shared.

• Right to delete: request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.

• Right to correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information.

• Right to opt out of sale/sharing: direct us not to sell or share your personal information (see Sections 7.2 and 8).

• Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: not applicable because we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger this right.

• Right to non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

9.2 How to exercise your rights

Requests to know, delete, or correct: email us at contact@sikito.com with the subject line “California Privacy Request,” stating the right you wish to exercise. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days (extendable by a further 45 days where reasonably necessary, in which case we will notify you). We will verify your identity to a reasonable degree of certainty by matching information you provide (such as your email address) against information we hold. Because most data we collect (cookie data; survey responses) is not linked to your name or email address, we may be unable to verifiably associate it with you; in that case we will explain this and direct you to the opt-out and cookie tools described in this Policy.

Opt-out of sale/sharing: no identity verification is required. Use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the Site footer or a Global Privacy Control-enabled browser; you may also email us at contact@sikito.com.

Authorized agents: you may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. For requests to know, delete, or correct, we may require written proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly with us. For requests to opt out of sale or sharing, we may require reasonable proof that the agent is authorized to act on your behalf, but we will not require verification of your identity.

9.3 Minors

The Site is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age, and we have no actual knowledge of doing so.

10. Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, applicable state law may provide additional privacy rights. Where such a law applies to Trinus, we will honor those rights. We may also consider reasonable privacy requests from residents of other U.S. states as a matter of policy, using the contact information in Section 15.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (consistent with the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) or from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us at contact@sikito.com, and we will take appropriate steps to delete the information where required or appropriate.

12. Data Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and destruction, taking into account the nature and volume of the information we process. In the event of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

13. International Data Processing

Trinus is located in Japan and maintains its primary business records in Japan. Our service providers may process or store personal information in the United States, Canada, the EEA, Japan, and other locations where they operate. Wherever your personal information is processed, we protect it in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

14. Third-Party Links; Changes to This Privacy Policy

The Site may contain links to third-party services (for example, the survey is hosted on Google Forms, and we may link to our social media pages). Those services are governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on the Site with a revised effective date. If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice as appropriate.
