Take the 1-min survey 〉Display branches, beautifully compact
For centuries, Japanese homes have welcomed seasonal branches indoors as a way to bring nature into everyday life. But large branches usually require a heavy, fragile vase that takes up space and makes water changes a chore.
EDA VASE is a new kind of branch display from Tokyo. A small, lightweight vase pairs with a weighted stand — letting you display branches up to 6 ft (1.8 m) tall without a bulky container.
Water changes, made effortless
Traditional tall vases are heavy, hard to clean, and a hazard if they tip over. EDA VASE solves this with a clever two-part system: a stable concrete base supports the branch, while a small removable vase holds just the water you need.
Lift the small vase out, refill at the sink, and slide it back in. No heavy lifting. No spills.
Thoughtful, minimal design
The stand is shaped from a single bent steel rod — almost like a line drawing in space. The ring at the top is intentionally left open so you can slide branches in and out without effort.
The concrete base weighs about 8.8 lbs (4 kg), giving it the stability to anchor even tall, top-heavy arrangements.
Each metal piece is hand-finished in an antique gold tone, giving every unit a subtle, one-of-a-kind character. The base and rod are joined with a visible industrial nut — and the rod can be detached for compact storage when not in use.*
* Always tighten the nut securely before use.
A urethane pad on the bottom protects floors and furniture from scratches.
The design is protected by a registered design patent in Japan (No. 1694041).
A vase that's lighter and tougher than glass
EDA VASE comes with a clear vase made from polycarbonate — the same material used in safety glasses and aircraft windows.
It looks just like glass, but is up to 250× stronger and dramatically lighter. That means easier water changes, no fear of breakage, and a worry-free home for your branches.
Recognized by the world's top design award
EDA VASE received the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2022, one of the world's most prestigious design honors, judged annually by an international panel from over 18,000 entries worldwide.
What you can display
Branches typically last much longer than cut flowers — often a month or more. EDA VASE is designed to work with a wide range of stems you can find at any well-stocked florist or farmers market in the UK.
Eucalyptus
Soft silver-green leaves and a calming scent. Eucalyptus is one of the easiest branches to source year-round in the UK and pairs beautifully with the minimal lines of EDA VASE.
Cherry blossom
The arrival of spring in a single branch. Delicate pink blooms give way to fresh green leaves — a slow, quiet transformation you can watch unfold in your living room.
Olive branches
Evergreen and elegant. Olive branches add a Mediterranean calm to any room, and EDA VASE can support even tall, dramatic arrangements with ease.
Winterberry
Bright red berries on bare branches — a holiday favorite that brings warmth to a winter room.
Pampas grass (dried)
EDA VASE works beautifully with dried stems, too. A few stalks of pampas grass create a soft, textured focal point — no water needed.
Long-stem flowers like Casa Blanca lilies
Not just for branches — EDA VASE also holds tall, statement flowers like Casa Blanca lilies. Their fragrance fills the room as the blooms open.
