[Branch Encyclopedia | Winter] Acacia purpurea
Hello everyone.
SiKiTO's "Branch Regular Delivery" service delivers the best branches selected by professionals, depending on the weather and purchasing conditions at the time.
The branch we are introducing this time is 'Acacia purpurea'.

An evergreen tall tree of the genus Acacia in the legume family, native to Australia.
This is a purple-leaved variety of silver wattle (Acacia baileyana) that produces many fluffy yellow small flowers in spring. In winter, the new leaves at the tips turn reddish-purple, creating a beautiful contrast with the silver leaves.

From November to January, it appears with these chic, gradient-colored leaves.
Acacia is known as "mimosa" in Japan, and most of what you see in flower shops around International Women's Day on March 8th is silver wattle (Acacia baileyana).

Acacias in winter tend to wilt easily, so they require diligent care.
