EDA VASE Market Research Survey

1. Who We Are

This survey is conducted by Trinus, Inc., a company registered in Japan. We operate the SiKiTO brand and its product line, including the EDA VASE flower vase.

2. Purpose of This Survey

We are conducting this online survey to better understand potential customer interest in EDA VASE in the UK and European Union. This is solely for market research purposes. We are not currently selling EDA VASE in the UK or EU.

As part of this study, you will first be asked to view an EDA VASE product introduction page (hosted on our Shopify store) before answering this survey (hosted on Google Forms). Your responses will help us understand purchase interest, product impressions, pricing expectations, and envisioned use cases.

3. Information We Collect

Through this survey, we collect the following information:

• Your survey responses regarding EDA VASE — for example, your habits for arranging with branches, where you usually obtain branches, aspects of the product that appeal to you, your purchase interest, pricing expectations, and intended use;

• Any information you choose to include in the optional free text comment field.

You do not need to provide your name, contact details, or email address to complete this survey.

Additionally, and only if you choose to, you can register your email address via the sign-up form on our product page (see Section 5). Email address registration is separate from this survey.

We may collect additional information in future surveys (e.g., demographic data such as age range or region of residence). Any such information will be optional and explained to you at the time of collection.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We rely on your consent as the legal basis for collecting and using your personal data in connection with this survey. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at contact@sikito.com. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

5. Email Address — Purpose and Use

Providing your email address is entirely optional and is collected separately from this survey, via the sign-up form on our product page. If you choose to provide it, we will use it for the following purposes:

• Sending you updates about EDA VASE before its official launch, including pre-launch announcements and early information on product availability;

• Sending you information related to the official launch and ongoing communications after the launch.

Your email address will be stored in Shopify and may be transferred to Klaviyo, our email marketing platform, for the purpose of sending these communications.

You can unsubscribe from these communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send you, or by contacting us at contact@sikito.com.

Please note that providing your email address and participating in this survey are distinct actions. You can complete the survey without providing your email address.

6. How We Use Your Survey Responses

We will use the information you provide to:

• Analyze market interest for EDA VASE in the UK and European Union;

• Understand product perceptions, pricing expectations, and potential use cases;

• Inform our future product and business decisions regarding potential international expansion.

Survey results may be shared internally or used for business planning purposes, only in an anonymized and aggregated form. No personally identifiable information will be shared with third parties.

7. Third-Party Services and Sharing

This survey is administered via Google Forms (Google LLC, USA). Your responses will be stored on Google’s servers. Google acts as a data processor on our behalf and is bound by data processing terms compliant with applicable data protection law. Google LLC adheres to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

The product introduction page you view before this survey is hosted by Shopify (contracting entity for EEA and UK: Shopify International Ltd., Ireland), which acts as a data processor. Your data may be transferred to and processed in Canada (Shopify Inc.) among other locations. Shopify may collect technical data such as your IP address and browsing data, in accordance with our cookie policy, when you access the store. Cookie consent on this page is managed by Pandectes GDPR/APPI Compliance (Pandectes, Estonia).

The product introduction page may also use audience measurement and advertising technologies such as Google Analytics (GA4) and Meta Pixel. These technologies are only activated after you have given your consent, and they may collect technical information related to your visit, such as pages viewed, device information, and your interactions with the page.

Where Meta Pixel is used, event data is sent to Meta Platforms, Inc. For the collection and transmission of this data, we and Meta may act as joint controllers to the extent required by applicable data protection law, and Meta may process this data for its own purposes, in accordance with its own privacy policy and applicable terms. If you provide your email address, it will be stored in Shopify and transferred to Klaviyo, Inc. (USA) for email communications. Klaviyo adheres to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third party for their own marketing purposes.

8. International Data Transfers

Your personal data will be transferred to and stored in Japan, where our company is established. Japan has been recognized by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection. For UK residents, data transfers to Japan are also subject to the UK adequacy framework.

Transfers to service providers located outside the UK/EEA, including to the United States (Google, Klaviyo, Meta), are carried out on the basis of applicable adequacy decisions, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum (UK IDTA), or other lawful transfer mechanisms, as applicable.

Transfers to Shopify Inc. in Canada benefit from the European Commission’s adequacy decision regarding Canada (commercial organizations subject to PIPEDA). Transfers from Shopify to countries not ensuring an adequate level of protection are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses (Decision 2021/914/EU), the UK Addendum published by the ICO (UK IDTA), and, where applicable, the Standard Contractual Clauses adapted for Switzerland.

9. How Long We Keep Your Data

• Survey responses: Retained for up to 12 months from the date of collection, after which they will be securely deleted or anonymized.

• Email addresses: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, whichever comes first. After unsubscribing, we may retain a minimal deletion record when necessary to ensure we no longer send you marketing emails.

• In all cases, data will not be retained longer than necessary for the purposes described in this notice.

10. Your Rights

If you are located in the UK or European Union, you have the following rights:

• Right of access: You can ask us what personal data we hold about you;

• Right to rectification: You can ask us to correct inaccurate data;

• Right to erasure: You can ask us to delete your personal data;

• Right to restriction of processing: You can ask us to limit the use of your data;

• Right to data portability: You can request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format;

• Right to object: You can object to the processing of your data;

• Right to withdraw your consent: You can withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before such withdrawal.

This survey is intended for individuals aged 18 or over. If you are under 18, please do not complete this survey.
