The "Kumo Beer Glass," as its name suggests, is a beer glass inspired by clouds floating in the sky. The idea that "beer foam looked like clouds" was brought to life by the skilled craftsmanship of artisans at the glass manufacturer "Sghr" into this delightful shape.

What suits white clouds best is, after all, a blue sky. On a pleasant afternoon in the sunlight. Or for a nightcap at the end of a bright day. This glass adds a smile and brightens your rewarding beer time.

Comfortable and just right for practical use

With a capacity of 400ml, it's the perfect size for one can of commercially available beer, allowing you to enjoy carefully built foam.

The distinctive feature is the horizontal cloud-shaped rim, but you can drink from anywhere. The subtle curve ensures no spills.

Glass, born from natural materials, is melted at approximately 1,400℃, shaped, and then cooled to solidify. Capturing the moment when the scorching liquid is at its most beautiful and shaping it is the pinnacle of Sghr's artisans' skill.

Sugahara Kougei Garasu Co., Ltd. was founded in 1932, and in 1974, it transitioned to a production system centered on original products. The sentiment of about 30 artisans is singular: "to bring the beauty of glass into everyday tools."

In manufacturing, product designs are often created by designers and then produced in the workshop. However, Sghr's products are designed by the very artisans who craft glass items daily. This is where Sghr's strength lies.

The inspiration for this "Kumo Beer Glass" also came from the beer foam appearing like clouds when poured.

Driven by their playful spirit to create an interesting glass using beer foam, the artisans designed this glass, and through trial and error in production, it came into being.
