False Spiraea (Niwa-nanakamado) is a deciduous shrub of the rose family. It was named for its leaves, which resemble those of the Rowan tree (Nanakamado), and is often planted in gardens.

Originally from China, it is also known as "Chinshibai." From May to July, when it blooms, its round, sugar-spun-like buds open into small, miniature-plum-like flowers.

These potted plants with their lovely blooms are available in limited quantities.

False Spiraea potted plants are generally kept outdoors.

You can enjoy its changing appearance throughout the year, with flowers in early summer, autumn foliage, and deciduous leaves in winter, making it a popular garden tree.

Its flower language, derived from its fire-resistant properties, includes "safety," "caution," and "I will protect you." It is also perfectly suited as a tree to pray for household safety.

An easy-to-handle 6-inch size, around 80cm tall, even for beginners

This time, we have sourced 6-inch pots, about 80cm tall. They are easy to grow on a balcony, and if planted in the ground, they are of a size that promises future growth.

Please note that individual plants may vary in size and branch shape. Also, we may deliver plants with some faded flowers or cut off damaged parts. We appreciate your understanding.

The pot cover has drainage holes, allowing you to water the plant while it's inside. Please note that no saucer is included.

If you choose "without pot cover," it will be delivered in a plastic pot only.The price is 4,900 yen (shipping and tax included).

False Spiraea Care Guide

False Spiraea prefers sunny locations with good drainage.

For potted plants, water thoroughly when the soil surface dries out. Fertilizer is not highly necessary, but if growth is poor, apply sparingly during winter.

For plants in the ground, once established, watering is not needed except during extremely dry periods.

Flowers bloom on new branches. Prune overgrown or unnecessary branches during the dormant winter season.
