New Year's greetings from SiKiTO

Happy New Year.
We sincerely thank you for your continued support of SiKiTO.
The New Year brings many "firsts," such as Hatsumode (first temple visit of the year), Hatsuyume (first dream of the year), and Shogotohajime (first work day of the year).
If you look closely at the character "初" (hatsu), you'll see it's written with the radical for clothing (衣) and a sword (刀).
It's said that this character came to mean "beginning" because the first step in making clothes is to cut the fabric with scissors (刀).
Once fabric is cut, it cannot be returned to its original form.
Don't you think the feeling of both tension and anticipation that comes with starting to tailor it into a new shape is similar to the feeling of welcoming a new year?
May the spring, summer, autumn, and winter of 2025 be filled with much hope and fruition.
We look forward to your continued support this year.
