[Flower Branches Grown In-House] Toyooka Village's second summer of growing flower branches! Approximately 1,000 seedlings are growing rapidly | September 2025

I'm Hasegawa, and I'm growing cut branches in Toyooka Village, Nagano Prefecture.

This spring, I was able to transplant[*] about 1,000 seedlings! There are also many more seedlings waiting to be transplanted in the fall.

[*]The act of planting seedlings grown in nursery trays or pots into the final harvesting location, such as a field.

The eucalyptus trees I transplanted last year have already grown well over my 176cm height, reaching 2 meters (as seen in the photo at the beginning of the page). The wild roses, which were less than 10cm tall in spring, have grown to shoulder height in just a few months.

Every day, I feel a parental affection for them as they grow so much when I'm not looking, lol.

Thankfully, I've been given many opportunities and am focusing on promotional activities within the village.

Through lectures for companies active in Toyooka Village and talks at elementary school assemblies, I feel that expectations for cut branch farms are rising within the village.

Currently, I'm also continuing with putting up animal control netting for new fields and reclamation work.

I will continue to work hard, fueled by the satisfaction of this activity and the anticipation of the day I can deliver branches to everyone.
