[The Four Seasons and Me] Interior design that values the feel of materials, created in a workspace filled with natural light and soothing greenery

We interviewed a wonderful customer to learn how branches are enjoyed in the professional workplaces of interior designers!

I design interiors for hotels, shops, and restaurants.

Most of my work involves hotel design, where I design everything related to the space, including spatial planning, material selection, and furniture design.

The interior of our office, which receives a lot of natural light through large windows, is furnished with natural materials. We use a lot of natural wood, and the partitions that divide the space are intentionally left unpainted to allow for a tactile and warm feel.

We make an effort to incorporate greenery into the office, placing many plants so that greenery is always in sight.

The plants we currently have are a mix of gifts, ones I chose myself, and ones that were coordinated for us. We try to arrange them mainly in areas where light comes in through the windows.

As the keyword "biophilic design" has gained attention since the pandemic, I also always want to live with nature.

I've realized that feeling the seasons and nature re-energizes me. Even in urban life, many commercial facilities and buildings now have greenery placed on their exteriors so that people can feel closer to nature.

The branch subscription service was introduced to me by a staff member at a house studio I had previously designed. I wanted to have branches, but I couldn't easily go out and buy them, so this was perfect. When the branches arrive every month, all the staff get excited.

I've been using it for about two years, and I display the long-lasting branches for extended periods by changing their location and vase.

Branches that dry out are hung like swags. Including the dried flowers that accumulate year after year, we can enjoy them for a long time.

I want to keep the office space simple, and sometimes flowers can be a bit too individualistic. I really like branches because they can be enjoyed for a long time and have a natural feel that allows us to connect with nature.

As expected of a professional, the space is comfortably arranged with carefully selected items down to every detail!
We were very happy to see that the dried flower materials are enjoyed for a long time as swags.
