In June 2026, SiKiTO will celebrate its 3rd anniversary since its brand launch!

We would like to share the 3-year story of the branch business and SiKiTO brand, which started with the EDA VASE, jointly developed with major flower shops, and grew with our customers.

It all started with

TRINUS Inc., the company operating SiKiTO, had its main business in product development, primarily design goods, for about eight years since its establishment in 2014.

Through a fortunate encounter, we developed the "EDA VASE," a vase for compactly displaying long branches. When sales began at the end of 2021, the initial production run sold out in just one week, causing a stir within the company.

Branch subscription service and SiKiTO brand born from customer feedback

At the start of the new year, we received messages from customers who had purchased the EDA VASE saying, "I can't find large branches that fit the EDA VASE nearby," and "It's hard to carry branches home from the flower shop."

So, we thought, "Let's deliver them ourselves!" and launched our branch subscription service in March 2022. At that time, a regular delivery service for branches was unprecedented.

Initially, we offered direct delivery by our staff in light vans to certain areas within Tokyo. Even so, we received a huge response, and in August of the same year, we began nationwide delivery via courier service.

After continuously considering the value that branches bring to daily life, we rebranded our in-house service as "SiKiTO" in June 2023.

The total number of branches we have carefully delivered, one by one, will soon reach one million.

Branch subscription service and SiKiTO brand born from customer feedback

While the service was growing smoothly, we faced a major challenge: the aging of branch producers and a decrease in the harvest of wild-collected varieties, threatening future supply...!

Therefore, we started cultivating branches using abandoned farmland in Toyooka Village, Nagano Prefecture. We are also expanding our fields in Nakanojo Town, Gunma Prefecture, learning from local farmers.

We are working on cultivation while sharing information on needs and trends with our local team members.

Additionally, we partnered with a forest owners' cooperative in Kurotaki Village, Nara Prefecture, to establish a system for shipping Japanese andromeda (asebi) that grows naturally at the base of sugi (cedar) and hinoki (cypress) trees, which are typically used for construction timber.

This initiative, which turns what was once considered "weeds" by forestry workers into a new source of income, has been featured in the media and received a Wood Design Award.

Learning from the producers who work with nature to cultivate and harvest branches is always insightful. We will continue to visit production areas across the country.

We are also working on developing original products, such as branch vases and seasonal fragrances.

Entering the cafe business, a long-held dream

And, as a place for people to truly experience our brand message and products, we have also embarked on the cafe business.

The Makuhari branch opened in September 2024, and the Nihonbashi branch opened in June 2025. We are constantly refining our services to become a beloved local establishment.
