New Year's greetings from SiKiTO

Happy New Year!
We sincerely thank you for your continued patronage of SiKiTO.
As the new year begins, we welcome the "Toshigami-sama" (New Year's deity) to our homes during New Year's, one of the most important milestones.
It is said that Toshigami-sama descends from high mountains on New Year's Day, bringing abundant harvests, prosperity, and acting as an ancestor who watches over us.
The New Year's decorations at the entrance serve as a marker for Toshigami-sama to find our homes.
The use of auspicious pine, bamboo, and plum, as well as rice ears symbolizing a bountiful harvest, expresses the joy and wishes of welcoming Toshigami-sama.
It is also said that the old calendar's name for January, "Mutsuki," comes from the tradition of relatives gathering and spending time together in harmony during the New Year.
Each time I learn about the meanings and wishes embedded in these long-standing cultural customs, I feel as if my life becomes a little richer.
This year too, all of us at SiKiTO will strive to help enrich your lives.
We look forward to your continued support this year.
