Elm Zelkova: A Mighty Tree in a Small Pot

Elm Zelkova, with its light green leaves covering every branch. The neatly carved serrated silhouette gives it a delicate impression.

The fresh greenery that sprouts in spring darkens in summer, changes to yellow leaves in autumn, and becomes a bare tree (leafless form) in winter, truly reflecting the changing seasons.

One of its charms is that even when small, it gives the impression of a large tree, as its vigorously growing branches are full of leaves.

Looking up from below, you'll see a scene like resting in the shade of a tree.

It is strong against heat and cold, making it an easy tree species for beginners to grow.

If growing indoors, choose a well-ventilated location. Occasionally exposing it to outdoor wind and rain will refresh the plant.

After the leaves fall in winter, it's fine if it doesn't receive direct sunlight. Experiencing the cold properly will promote better sprouting in spring.

Two Sizes Available

① Medium Size

The pot color is a nuanced "Seigin" (blue-silver). The saucer is a refreshing "Wakakusa" (young green), reminiscent of new shoots.

② Extra Large Size (with rock)

The impressive extra-large size features a "rock-attached" style, as if embracing a rock. It takes about 10 years to cultivate a form that appears to have strong roots in a harsh natural environment!

The pot color is "Shiranami" (white wave), like rising clouds. It is complemented by a "Dokoku" (copper-black) water tray for a dignified impression.

A popular tree species whose changes from spring new shoots, summer green, autumn foliage, to winter bare branches are captivating.

② Hime Sarusuberi (Crape Myrtle) (Medium Size)

Its vibrantly colored flowers, blooming in the heat, are perfectly suited for the sun. The blooming period is so long that it's called "Hyakunichikō" (100-day red), and if well-maintained, it can be enjoyed until autumn.

With proper care, it will bloom again on many branch tips in subsequent years.

③ Kuchinashi (Gardenia) (Medium Size)

Large, pure white flowers with a captivating sweet fragrance. The sight of them blooming majestically amidst the straight, strong branches is magnificent.

As an evergreen, its glossy foliage can be enjoyed year-round.

④ Shinpaku (Juniper) (Medium Size)

A classic popular tree species in the bonsai world, alongside pine. Its charm lies in its aged bark, even when small.

It grows slowly and is easy for beginners to cultivate, making it recommended as a Father's Day gift.

⑤ Nirekeyaki (Elm Zelkova) (Medium Size, Extra-Large Size with rock)

Elm Zelkova, with its gentle-colored leaves abundant on its branches, offers a grand atmosphere even in a small size. In winter, it transforms into a bare tree after shedding its leaves.

This is a tree that shows dynamic changes throughout the seasons.

Ishiki Hana, a bonsai brand based in Murayama City, Yamagata Prefecture. The representative of SiKiTO was captivated by their beautiful and refined bonsai, leading to this collaboration.

All bonsai are carefully cultivated by Ishiki Hana staff with time and effort.

One of Ishiki Hana's unique charms is its gently shaped pots, all self-produced.

Approximately 50 original colors are given elegant names such as "Shirahisame" (white rain) and "Shinryoku" (deep green).

The "Seasons and Bonsai" collaboration with Ishiki Hana is sold for a limited time each season.
