Giving children who find it difficult to go out the gift of "cherry blossom viewing at home"

Kairi, 4 years old, was born weighing only 600g. Although his life was saved by advanced modern medicine, he suffered brain damage and now requires daily respiratory management with a ventilator.
It is difficult for him to go out freely, and he and his family, who constantly watch over him, spend most of their days at home.
To allow children like Kairi, who require medical care and face high hurdles to going out, to enjoy "cherry blossom viewing at home," we gifted about 100 Keio cherry blossom branches.
Gifting the Experience of Feeling the Seasons with Branch Flowers

Leaves sway in the wind from the window, and sunlight filters into the room. In spring and summer, lovely flowers and vibrant new greenery sprout, while in autumn and winter, leaves change color and berries appear.
Branch flowers, with their rich seasonal expressions, enrich our lives.
Thanks to your support, our "Branch Flower Subscription Service," which delivers such branch flowers to your home, has reached its first anniversary.

On this milestone, we launched a project to gift the experience of "feeling the seasons at home" by decorating with branch flowers to children who face high hurdles to going out due to medical reasons.
Our first anniversary falls in spring, the beautiful season of cherry blossoms.
This project, aptly named "Sakura Distribution Project," aims to provide children who find it difficult to enjoy cherry blossom viewing outdoors with the experience of "cherry blossom viewing at home."

We received cooperation from "Certified NPO Florence" (https://florence.or.jp/), which is dedicated to solving all social issues that prevent parents and children from smiling.
They also engage in support programs for families with disabled children, operating services such as "Medical Care Sitter Nancy" (https://nancy.florence.or.jp/), where nurses visit homes to provide medical care like respiratory management with ventilators, as well as play and learning support tailored to the child's development.

When we explained the purpose of the project, they wholeheartedly agreed to cooperate, saying, "Even if it's difficult to go out freely, being able to enjoy cherry blossom viewing at home would be a precious experience for both the child and their family. We are very happy to receive such a wonderful proposal."
Direct Delivery of Approximately 100 Cherry Blossom Branches

On the day of delivery, high-quality Keio cherry blossoms, sourced from the market just like those delivered through our "Branch Flower Subscription Service," were carefully hydrated and loaded into a car.
With a total of 100 branches, we couldn't load them all at once and had to make two trips.
First, we delivered the cherry blossoms to a total of six facilities: five "Helen Nursery Schools for Children with Disabilities" in Tokyo, operated by Florence, and "Inclusive Hiroba Bell," a play space where all children, regardless of disability, can enjoy themselves.
As soon as we entered the facilities with the cherry blossoms, some children spotted them and rushed over.
The bright-eyed smiles of the happy children energized us, the deliverers, even more.

For the remaining 30 households, we enlisted the help of nurses from Medical Care Sitter Nancy. We gave a lecture at Florence's office on how to wrap the branch flowers.
Incidentally, our CEO, Sato, personally handled the hydration, driving, delivery, and lectures.

Finally, we delivered cherry blossoms to the home of Kairi (4 years old), one of Nancy's clients.
He had been looking a little sleepy, but his eyes widened, and he stared intently at the cherry blossoms with a sparkling gaze.
According to his mother, "It's rare for him to stare at something so intently. I think he's very interested."

The swelling buds, about to burst into bloom, the delicate pink petals already beginning to open, and the vibrant branches supporting them.
Branch flowers, full of natural vitality, have a presence just by being there, captivating Kairi's heart.

His mother said, "Even when we're at home, there's hardly any time to relax."
In addition to checking that the ventilator is functioning normally, Kairi needs constant supervision to prevent him from losing balance, as he cannot hold up his head.

When going out, they need to transport a specially made buggy loaded with a ventilator, oxygen, and a power battery, making it difficult to go on outings and experience the seasons.

Therefore, his mother was delighted, saying, "I'm so happy that by decorating with branch flowers, we can feel the changing seasons at home."
The cherry blossoms delivered to Kairi were still only half in bloom. They will gradually open to full bloom. After the flowers fall, new leaves will grow, turning into green cherry blossoms.
They will gradually change over about a month, bringing joy to Kairi and his family.
The "Sakura Distribution Project" was launched on our first anniversary to provide the "cherry blossom viewing at home" experience to children who face high hurdles to going out. It was also a valuable opportunity for us to reaffirm the charm of "life with branch flowers."
We hope to continue these efforts and deliver the charm of branch flowers to as many people as possible.
