[Branch and Flower Encyclopedia | Spring] Yoko Sakura

Hello everyone,

SiKiTO's "Branch Subscription" delivers the best branches, selected by professionals, according to the weather and procurement conditions at the time.

This time, we'd like to introduce the 'Yoko-zakura' cherry blossoms.

This is a deciduous broadleaf tree of the genus Prunus in the rose family. It features large, single, purplish-pink flowers.

It is a cultivated variety created by cross-breeding Amagi-Yoshino and Kanhi-zakura, and is planted in parks and gardens throughout Japan for its blossoms, which bloom slightly earlier than Somei-Yoshino.

The sight of its large flowers blooming gracefully downwards is truly impressive. Its organic branching also has a powerful presence.

After the flowers fall, fresh green leaves emerge, allowing you to enjoy the 'hazakura' (cherry trees with young leaves).

Being able to enjoy the changing appearance is one of the charms of branches, isn't it?
