[Branch Subscription 1st Anniversary Event] Gathering of Branches to Experience the Seasons

"Edamono Teiki Bin" (Branch Delivery Subscription) launched in March 2022. To commemorate its first anniversary, we held our first real-life event as an opportunity to express our gratitude to our customers.

In a space filled with cherry blossoms, we held live arrangements by flower designer Hiroyuki Oka, who is deeply involved with Edamono Teiki Bin, and other events.

We report on the day's events, where we enjoyed an early cherry blossom viewing with all of you who love branches.

Live Arrangement by Flower Designer Oka

First, a live arrangement by flower designer Mr. Oka, who has been involved in the launch and operation of Edamono Teiki Bin.

Several types of cherry blossoms, such as Keiozakura and Kawazuzakura, were arranged harmoniously in stable vases.

While sharing tips on how to handle branches, the cherry blossoms spread out like wings.

The completed work was so powerful it couldn't be captured entirely in a photo! Using different types of cherry blossoms created a three-dimensional effect with varying colors.

Mr. Oka's words, "When arranging flowers, if they don't stay where you want them to, it's often said that the flowers don't like that spot. Try to enjoy a dialogue with the flowers when arranging them," left a strong impression on me.

Next, an arrangement using the EDA VASE.

Combining straight-growing Keiozakura with arching Spiraea prunifolia, the work evoked a scene of cherry blossoms in the wild mountains.

Furthermore, professional techniques continued to unfold.

He showed a decorative method that created a mysterious floating sensation, as if a cherry tree was growing from a small pot.

The secret revealed: branches cut at both ends are used as props to fix it in place.

He also gave us valuable advice: "Since force is applied when pushing in the branches, it's better to avoid thin or expensive containers!"

This arrangement also seemed to defy gravity. The guests were surprised.

The base of the branch is bent into an L-shape, inserted into the container, and secured with stones.

This container is also tableware, not a vase. In Mr. Oka's home, the line between vases and tableware is fluid.

Words of Gratitude from Our CEO, Sato

Next, our CEO, Sato, who has been tirelessly working to deliver branches for the past year, gave a greeting.

While reflecting on the past year, he also introduced the branch production sites he recently visited.

Everyone was very interested in how branches that decorate living spaces are grown, a topic not often discussed.

We plan to continue introducing this in the "Edamono Tayori" section of the SiKiTO blog.

Popular vases and original goods were also on display at the venue.

At the exhibition and sales corner for vases, which are essential for life with branches, visitors were seen checking the actual size and material.

The authentic 2% alcohol IPA, "Phew!", served as a welcome drink, was also very popular.

The "Gathering of Branches that Feel the Seasons " was held to commemorate the first anniversary of Edamono Teiki Bin.

Mr. Oka's arrangement techniques were captivating, and his tips, many of which could be easily imitated, were truly impressive!

The cherry blossoms, Spiraea prunifolia, and Japanese willow branches that decorated the venue were taken home as souvenirs. The sight of everyone leaving the venue with smiles and flowers remains in my heart.

Meeting and conversing directly with everyone who loves life with branches was a very valuable opportunity for us, who operate the web store.

Please look forward to the next event!
