This is the third year. We're giving the gift of "at-home cherry blossom viewing" to children for whom going out is a high hurdle.

"Ohanami" is the act of enjoying a moment with loved ones under the spring sky, admiring the cherry blossoms in full bloom. This unique Japanese spring tradition captivates the hearts of many.

To allow children and families who face difficulties going out due to medical reasons to also enjoy hanami, we carried out the "Cherry Blossom Delivery Project" again in 2025, gifting cherry blossom branches.

This marks the third time the Cherry Blossom Delivery Project has been implemented since its inception in 2023.

This year, with the cooperation of "Certified NPO Florence," an organization dedicated to childcare and family support for children with disabilities, we presented 100 cut branches of Keiozakura (winter-flowering cherry blossom) to a total of 24 families who use "Medical Care Sitter Nancy," which supports play and learning tailored to children's development.

Keiozakura is an early-blooming cherry blossom with straight branches, and we deliver many of them to our customers every year through our regular branch delivery service.

This time, SiKiTO staff visited the home of Jun-kun, a 6-year-old boy who will soon be starting elementary school.

On this day, there were as many as five adults, including his mother and a nurse! Jun-kun, who loves people, expressed his joy with his whole body. He is a boy with a striking, effervescent smile.

When the fully bloomed cherry blossom branches were arranged in a vase and placed in front of Jun-kun, his eyes widened slightly in surprise.

After staring at them for a while, he reached out his hands, smiled brightly, and expressed his joy to the fullest while on his mother's lap.

Jun-kun's mother told us that he loves going out and is very happy when he feels the natural breeze.

However, due to the weather and the scarcity of multi-purpose restrooms with universal seats, going out for hanami is quite difficult. This year, in particular, they have been spending more time at home to manage his health in preparation for surgery.

Despite this, we received a heartwarming comment that the opportunity to admire the cherry blossoms as a family at this significant time, marking his graduation and entrance to school, would surely become a cherished memory.

We hope the blossoms continue to bloom in Jun-kun's home for as long as possible.

Furthermore, this year, we also provided cherry blossoms for the graduation ceremonies of Florence's Helen Nursery for Children with Disabilities and Annie Home Care for Children with Disabilities.

It is a great honor to have been able to help celebrate such an important milestone. Congratulations on your graduation!

Not only in Jun-kun's household, but there are many families with small children, or those who find it difficult to go out due to illness or injury.

With SiKiTO's regular branch delivery service, anyone can enjoy "ohanami at home"[*].

[*]Please note that cherry blossom deliveries for 2025 have already concluded.

Our hearts are stirred by the sight of buds slowly opening, and we admire the full bloom. But not only that, we are also moved by the fleeting nature of their scattering and the vitality of new leaves sprouting.

The changes unique to living plants enrich everyone's hearts.

SiKiTO will continue this activity in the future to deliver the unique charm of "ohanami at home" to as many people as possible.
