Senjumaru: A Dignified Bonsai with 15 Years of History

Senjumaru, a type of Japanese black pine, is an extra-large bonsai that exudes a classic charm with its rugged and powerful trunk.

Its "yatsubusa" characteristic, meaning it branches finely, allows for many buds to develop, making it enjoyable to shape the tree's form.

During the photoshoot, small pine cones were scattered throughout.

The pot is a deep "copper black," paired with a "whitecap" saucer reminiscent of blowing wind.

As it prefers sunlight, outdoor management is recommended. If kept indoors, choose a spot with as much sunlight and ventilation as possible, and occasionally expose it to rain and wind on a balcony to help regulate the tree's biorhythm.

Especially in winter, it's recommended to place it in an unheated room to allow it to experience the cold.
